studio inspiration
We are finally getting to the point where we are ready to start making a few purchases. Watching the savings pile up veeerry slowly is hard but we're getting there! In the meantime, we have had a lot of fun finding inspiration and cyber shopping for the ideal home and studio.
We love the lightness of these work spaces. We love the idea of having a blank canvas to plaster with whatever we are being inspired by that day or that month. This is why we are going to keep the walls light and energetic. (Plus the landlord might not love it if we paint all of the walls) I am also a bit of a storage and organization fanatic. My brain just works more efficiently if I am surrounded by a clean and organized area. I also tend to forget small things quite often so I have to have very obvious reminders of things I need to do. I love the touch of the gold paper clips as well as the wall-based storage. We're also planning on incorporating different kinds of shelving (I love the ladder). We have pictures to hang, design magazines to file, and projects to put away. We are beyond excited to get this room to an aesthetically pleasing and functional point. It's been a while since I've had an inspiration place to work and collect myself. Let's just say we're going to be spending some quality time in IKEA. We're already good friends, but we'll be the best of friends soon.
